This system adapts the peculiarities of the “random” tool change mode to a “fixed position”: the tool placed in the magazine with adjacent empty places can be replaced without interrupting the exchange cycle as is the case in the systems currently on the market.
Tool changer times on a CNC machine are the only passive times when the machine does not produce. Therefore, the reduction of the exchange time for the “fixed position” tools management consequently increases the productivity of the machine.
